Shayne Looper
Senior Pastor

Shayne Looper met his future wife, Karen Wilson, at church when they were just 13 years old. They started dating at Fort Wayne Bible College and have been married for nearly 45 years. They have three adult sons, all of whom follow Jesus, and four grandchildren, with two more on the way.

Shayne is passionate about the ministry of the local church. He became a church Christian Education Director in 1979 and has served as a lead pastor in Ohio and Michigan since 1981. He is ordained in the Missionary Church USA.

Shayne has written a weekly religion column since 2001. His work has appeared in The Huffington Post and Gatehouse Media Group newspapers and is currently syndicated by Gannett Company newspapers. He has also written for Christianity Today and Missionary Church Today.

Shayne enjoys reading, hiking, and fishing. He still gets on the basketball court once in a while, swings a golf club occasionally (but far too many times over the course of 18 holes), and shoots a game of pool when he gets the chance. But what he likes best is hearing people say, “Wow!” about God when they discover how great and good he is.
